"A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother."
Proverbs 15:20
Mother's Day is the day that we honor our mothers. Mothers do far more for us than we remember. Some keys to celebrating Mothers Day. If you have a mother who was not there for you or even worse abused you, you can trust God's justice. It may not be in this life, but God is faithful. He will judge the wicked. However, the vast majority of us have mothers who loved us, sacrificed for us, and gave us a start in life. Do not despise the pain, effort, and time that your mother invested in you.
And even until today, your mother still cares about you. So many mothers in this church pray for their children (especially their adult children), sacrifice so that their children can be successful, and pour their love into their children. We are blessed to have such mothers. Do not overlook your mother. Today of all days in the year, honor and cherish her. Thank God for a good mother.

God has been very good to us. We have a tendency to focus on the negative and notice all the things that we lack rather than to see all the gifts that God has given us.
When we experience the vanity that is life without God, do we return to the God who loves us?
Rest comes from rejecting responsibilities that God does not intend for us and accepting God's yoke for us.
The answer to America's social ills is God's grace and Christian love.
