"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
Ecclesiastes 12:13
If there is one thing that Ecclesiastes teaches us, it is that humans have limits. We would like to think that we are immortal, but we all have an expiration date. We would like to think we can always provide for ourselves, but often there comes a time when we cannot. We would like to think we can always be happy, but times of grief come. We would like to think that the money will never run out, but sometimes it does.
We live in a technological age when humans think that we can control our circumstances. However, the more that we try to squeeze God's creation to fit our own ideas, the more that creation squeezes us back. Technology lies to us and tells us there are no limits. Creation order keeps us within those limits. Give control of your circumstances to God and allow Him to choose for you. Obey Him and watch Him bless you.
Pastor Scott Dean
God has been very good to us. We have a tendency to focus on the negative and notice all the things that we lack rather than to see all the gifts that God has given us.
When we experience the vanity that is life without God, do we return to the God who loves us?
Rest comes from rejecting responsibilities that God does not intend for us and accepting God's yoke for us.
The answer to America's social ills is God's grace and Christian love.
