"And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children."
Isaiah 54:13
Next to a few verses in my study Bible, I have a date written. That was the date that God made that verse come alive to me. I want to remember those times that I was reading my Bible; and suddenly, like a light bulb switched on brings brightness to a dim room, a verse came crashing into my consciousness. The meaning of the verse did not change, but suddenly the application shined a light on my own situation.
Next to this verse in Isaiah, I wrote a date. On that day, I was reminded that God can teach my children far better than I can. Raising children is not easy because children have their own will, their own thoughts, and their own struggles. We want our children to walk in truth. But our children do not always follow us. Sometimes, we feel as if we have failed our children. This verse reminds us that the Lord teaches our children, and He teaches them far better than we ever will. Let's claim this verse for all our children, continue to pray for them, and continue to be an example of a Christian walking in the Spirit.

God has been very good to us. We have a tendency to focus on the negative and notice all the things that we lack rather than to see all the gifts that God has given us.
When we experience the vanity that is life without God, do we return to the God who loves us?
Rest comes from rejecting responsibilities that God does not intend for us and accepting God's yoke for us.
The answer to America's social ills is God's grace and Christian love.
