"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."
I Corinthians 16:13
There was a day when men wore the pants, and wore them well. Sons had a father around to teach them how to treat women with honor, wives had husbands who worked to support the family, and communities policed themselves. Men took charge because that’s what they did. But somewhere along the way the world decided it no longer needed men. Disco by disco, TV show by TV show, men were stripped of their khakis and left stranded on the road between boyhood and androgyny.
But today there are problems our genderless society has no solutions for. Our nation watches as communities crumble, children misbehave, and women learn to support themselves. For the first time since bad guys, we need heroes. We need mature men. We need men to come out of their man caves, step away from the video games, and untie the world from the railroad tracks of complacency. It’s time to grow up. It’s time to answer the call of manhood. It’s time to wear the pants.

God has been very good to us. We have a tendency to focus on the negative and notice all the things that we lack rather than to see all the gifts that God has given us.
When we experience the vanity that is life without God, do we return to the God who loves us?
Rest comes from rejecting responsibilities that God does not intend for us and accepting God's yoke for us.
The answer to America's social ills is God's grace and Christian love.
