"Speak: unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ve shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts."
Leviticus 23:2
Leviticus may seem like a strange place from which to draw a verse to wish you all a Merry Christmas. I
chose this verse to show that God arranged feasts and festivals for His people. God knows we need days of
rest, seasons of festivities, and time with each other. Christmas is one of those holidays. My favorite
holiday is Resurrection Sunday because of the significance to our faith. However, Christmas holds many happy
memories of family and friends.
Christmas is the day we celebrate our Savior's birth with time together, thoughtful gifts, delicious food,
and a change in schedule.
So on the eve of that day I want to wish you a very merry Christmas. May God bless you with the light of His presence, the bounty of His provision, the hope of His promises, and the peace of His purpose. May the day be a restful one, spent with loved ones; and may you create many happy memories to carry throughout your life.
Merry Christmas!

God has been very good to us. We have a tendency to focus on the negative and notice all the things that we lack rather than to see all the gifts that God has given us.
When we experience the vanity that is life without God, do we return to the God who loves us?
Rest comes from rejecting responsibilities that God does not intend for us and accepting God's yoke for us.
The answer to America's social ills is God's grace and Christian love.
