"Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?"

Psalms 85:6

From time to time, God's people need a fresh touch of God's presence, God's power, and God's conviction.

Notice in this verse the word "again." We have experienced this before. This is not our first time for God's power
or presence. The people had experienced God's reviving touch. Indeed the chapter starts with an admission that God had been favorable to them. But they begged God to be favorable to them again!

As Christians, we can become really good at going through the motions. We come to worship, we "do church." we sing, we pray, but are we really focused on exalting God? Are we delighted to be in His presence again? Are we eager to experience His power afresh?

Elmira Baptist Church needs God's holy conviction. We need God's refreshing power so that we do not simply go through the motions but instead are once again awestruck by Him. Pray earnestly with me for God to revive us again.

God has been very good to us. We have a tendency to focus on the negative and notice all the things that we lack rather than to see all the gifts that God has given us.
